Advisor Enhancement Program (AEP)

The Academic Advising Council (AAC) supports advising excellence for all UCF academic advisors by identifying relevant issues and delivering monthly professional development programs. These enhancement programs include information on use of office technology, peer advising, new employee training, institutional administration, UCF resources, advising/counseling best practices, developmental theory, and other topics of interest to the academic advising community. The monthly AEP meetings offer one method to deliver the information necessary to develop these competencies. However, other mechanisms for competency development may include on-line delivery of programs and information or in-unit programming at staff meetings and retreats.

All members of the university academic advising community are invited to participate in the AEP in order to learn, network with UCF colleagues, and share best practices. AEP meetings will also include an opportunity for the various resource offices on campus to provide updates and announcements, and each office will present to the membership as needed, but at least once each academic year.
